Suggestions I would give to undergraduate students with regard to courses, internships, and other means of preparation for my career field:
Architects deal with people's dreams, so it would be helpful to be a good psychologist. You need a genuine interest in people, and enthusiam about collaborating with them on their unique design problem.

My career path in getting to this position:
intern architect in Atlanta at a nationally known design firm; a year at TVA, two years at a small firm which had landscape architecture, began my firm at age 35
