Supervise and plan the controls assurance fieldwork for attest engagements of public companies.

Suggestions I would give to undergraduate students with regard to courses, internships, and other means of preparation for my career field:
Keep a positive attitude. Go on an inernship, even if it isnt the city or company you want to wind up with in the end. It will do so much toward preparing you for the "gainfully employed."

My career path in getting to this position:
6 years of industry accounting and IT work with BellSouth Corporation and its affiliates. An additional year as a senior auditor with Deloitte prior to making manager.

Other advice for students interested in gaining entry into and pursuing a career in this field:
Keep an open mind. The profession has gone through a lot of changes in the last couple of years, and there are opportunities today that didnt exist in the pre-Enron era. You dont have to start out with all the skills, just all the interest.
