Present Job Title:
Management Trainee

Brief description of my job responsibilities, e.g. a typical week in my job:
I am currently in the management trainee program where I am currently training in each of the departments throughout the factory. In each department I learn about their responsibilities and procedures. I also work on small projects throughout my time with the department. After this training is finished I will be training on the production floor under a supervisor.

Suggestions I would give to undergraduate students with regard to courses, internships, and other means of preparation for my career field:
My number one suggestion is to make sure that you have an internship. Experience in the work environment and in a management position is the number one preparation tool in the production environment. Once you get in with the company be ready to learn something everyday and take advantage of the courses that the company offers you.

My career path in getting to this position:
I was a summer intern with Nestle in Gaffney South Carolina the summer of my junior year. At the conclusion of my internship I was offered a position as a management trainee at the conclusion of my graduation.

Other advice for students interested in gaining entry into and pursuing a career in this field:
Be willing to work hard. Know that you are going to put in long hours regardless of where you are employed and make sure it is something you really want to do. If you are hands on type person make sure you have a hands on job and vies versa.
