Brief description of my job responsibilities, e.g. a typical week in my job:
I evaluate business units processes in order to develop
process improvements to ehnance productivity. I also
assist users in developing solutions with the end-user
computing tools available within our environment. I work with
end users daily and also from time to time manage projects
to provide newer tools to the users.
Suggestions I would give to undergraduate students with regard to courses,
internships, and other means of preparation for my career field:
Know what your career goals are, select the coursers that
support those goals, reevaluate those goals periodically,
and seek internships as early as possible to support your
career goals.
My career path in getting to this position:
I was in the US Army for 20 years where we used computers to
store data and compute solutions. I then worked as a systems
analyst developing software solutions for customers. I
developed those skills that led to my current position.
