Brief description of my job responsibilities, e.g. a typical week in my job:
All operations, sales and any other activities for the the entire Midwest portion of the US are within my domain. Primarly responsibility include turning station/facility around, putting additional freight on aircraft, building relationships with customers, overseeing operations as they are handled by a handling agent., overseeing security. pricing, imports, dealing with US Customs, working with other carriers and freight forwarders.

Suggestions I would give to undergraduate students with regard to courses, internships, and other means of preparation for my career field:
Do an internship, if possible, during their undergraduate years to fully understand what the movement of freight is all about

My career path in getting to this position:
Working with other airlines, transportation companies (other modes), building an EMC (Export Management Company)
and working internationally.

Other advice for students interested in gaining entry into and pursuing a career in this field:
Show a passion and understanding for the industry
