Brief description of my job responsibilities, e.g. a typical week in my job:
Provide administrative computer support to offices on campus. Work with COBOL, WEB technologies, Voice response technologies and vendor software. Integrate vendor software into local solutions.

Suggestions I would give to undergraduate students with regard to courses, internships, and other means of preparation for my career field:
Computer science at UTK provides a good foundation for problem solving and thinking which is needed in solving complex computer problems. Learn to communicate effectively, spend time with presentations while on campus.

My career path in getting to this position:
This was my first job.

Other advice for students interested in gaining entry into and pursuing a career in this field:
When interviewing always accentuate what you can do to help the company you are interviewing with. Do not FOCUS on what they can do for you, but rather on what YOU can do for them.
