Brief description of my job responsibilities, e.g. a typical week in my job:
Responsible for the development of the Electro-Optical Targeting System for the Newest US Fighter Aircraft, the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. We are developing an advanced multi-function sensor with a variety of technologies and challenges.

Suggestions I would give to undergraduate students with regard to courses, internships, and other means of preparation for my career field:
Gain a diverse set of skills, but be clear on what you want to do and in what area you wish to work.

My career path in getting to this position:
I gained a great deal of expertise in my chosen area from working at three companies on a variety
of production, research and development, and test programs.

Other advice for students interested in gaining entry into and pursuing a career in this field:
Do as many "hands on" projects as possible and send me your resume if you have, or are getting
a BSEE!
