My job consist of engineering and designing a new, requested telephone or DSL lines for residential and business customers. My work week can change at any given moment as there is always something new to do.

Suggestions I would give to undergraduate students with regard to courses, internships, and other means of preparation for my career field:
I would definitely suggest that students make sure they some type of co-op or internship experience. Not only will they see their field of interest in action, but they will gain a sense of the skills and knowledge needed to be successful in the professional workplace.

My career path in getting to this position:
I graduated and kept job searching and networking. Networking helped me to get the job. Other advice for students interested in gaining entry into and pursuing a career in this field:
Be sure to get some experience and work hard in your field. Be ready to become the sharpest and brightest person in your field, but come ready to learn always.
