Present Job Title:
field staff/ statewide women's coordinator for New Hampshire

Brief description of my job responsibilities, e.g. a typical week in my job:
There is no typical week at my job, which is why I love it. There are some things we do on a regular basis, like phone banking and going door-to-door, but most of our activities are special events. We attend house parties, speeches, town hall meetings, and follow the Senator wherever he goes in the state.

Suggestions I would give to undergraduate students with regard to courses, internships, and other means of preparation for my career field:
Any background in political science definately helps people ease into this job, but the real preparation comes from working on smaller, local campaigns. Even without campaign politics experience, however, if you demonstrate a real desire to work really hard for the cause, you may be able to get a job.

My career path in getting to this position:
My only other experience was a State Senate race in Tennessee.

Other advice for students interested in gaining entry into and pursuing a career in this field:
Be enthusiastic!
