Provide individual career counseling to students. Organize career-related workshops and events such as career fairs. Meet with faculty and employers regularly.

Suggestions I would give to undergraduate students with regard to courses, internships, and other means of preparation for my career field:
Experience and internships are crucial. If you are interested in working with college students, there are many alternatives for you. Get involved in student affairs-related activites such as residence life or peer advising.

My career path in getting to this position:
Volunteered with Americorps for one year after graduation. Worked as a Job Coach for Welfare to Work for two years. Went to UNC-CH for graduate school. INTERNED in the Career Office and they hired me full-time!
