Brief description of my job responsibilities, e.g. a typical week in my job:
I am a general assignment reporter and there is no such thing as a "typical" week. My typical week consists of flying by the seat of my pants and either ending up at a murder site or doing a feature story on troubled kids.

Suggestions I would give to undergraduate students with regard to courses, internships, and other means of preparation for my career field:
Internships are important. Experience is the key to success out of college and get involved with organizations and meet people at functions.

My career path in getting to this position:
I worked my way up the ladder. I started out at a small paper, and kept going larger. I also made goals for myself.
