Brief description of my job responsibilities, e.g. a typical week in my job:
I am currently working on a conversion project. My role is to map information on one system to another. This requires extensive research and interpretation. I also provide daily support to one of our business systems.

Suggestions I would give to undergraduate students with regard to courses, internships, and other means of preparation for my career field:
I would definitely encourage students to take a lot of business courses.  I believe these classes to be most useful in a day to day corporate setting.

My career path in getting to this position:
I began in the claims department at UNUMProvident.  After gaining a broad understanding of the company, I was able to post for a position that required little training, but a basic understanding of systems.

Other advice for students interested in gaining entry into and pursuing a career in this field:
I would take some basic computer classes just to keep up with the changing technology. I would also cross computer training with some business training.
