Retail/selling experience.

interns are a great idea. it lets you get a taste of that company does and what the workforce is all about. it also gives you an idea of if that field is really what you want to do.

Other advice for students interested in gaining entry into and pursuing a career in this field:
found out about the position through career services, went on all interviews, and was offered a trainee position. still in the training program now in inside sales
