Spring Accounting Internship Program

The Spring Accounting Internship Program began in the fall of 1991 as a joint effort between the Accounting Department and Career Services. The program was initiated to give students planning to enter the Masters of Accountancy Program an opportunity to do an internship in public accounting prior to starting the 5th year of study. Students would gain practical work experience, and employers would have the benefit of extra help during the busy season, as well as the opportunity to pre-recruit.

Many firms now view the internship program as their primary recruiting tool and clamor for the top students. We realize that internships are extremely important and frequently a first step to full-time employment. For this reason we urge you to interview with several firms before accepting an internship.

(F) August 25 2:00-4:00 p.m. UC Suite 223

(M) August 28 8:30-10:30 a.m. UC Suite 223

(T) August 29 4:00-6:00 UC Suite 223

In addition, the "Meet the Firms" event is scheduled for Wednesday, August 30 from 6:00 -7:30 PM in the UC Ballroom & Crest Room. This will allow you to talk with recruiters before submitting your resume.
