Services Utilized at the Center for Career Development: Interview skills improvement, resume and cover letter writing
Success Story: I first contacted the Center for Career Development seeking an advice regarding my resume and cover letter writing. Once I arranged a few on-site interviews, I started preparing myself for the next step of the recruiting process. A few days before my 1st interview, a friend of mine recommended that I take the practice interview at the Center for Career Development. While I had strong technical competency, the live session with the CS staff exposed me to a few challenging behavioral questions, which I was definitely not prepared for. The staff advised me on how to respond while encountering unexpected inquiry or criticism. That way I had a few days to improve my interpersonal skills, and during my actual interviews I was more confident. Even though I was still hoping for the best, I was prepared for the worst. Two months later I received employment offers from two world-leading biomedical companies.
Would you recommend the Center for Career Development to a peer?:
I myself was referred to the Center for Career Development by a friend, and I would certainly do the same for my colleagues.
