Are you thinking about a career in diplomacy? Interested in domestic options with the Department of State? Thinking of joining the Foreign Service and serving as a diplomat or working in an embassy overseas? If so, now is the time to learn about the many options for careers with the U.S. Department of State! Michael McClellan, Recruitment and Outreach Officer with the State Department, will talk about the various career options available with the Department of State, including civil service, foreign service, and foreign service specialists. All majors are welcome as the Foreign Service hires liberal arts majors, engineers, IT experts, nurses, psychologists, social workers, financial managers, and many others. The presentation will cover the hiring process for full time jobs, the various types of careers available, as well as internships and fellowships for which students may apply.
