The Center for Career Development & Academic Exploration invites faculty and staff to participate in the Internship Round Table. This informal group will provide a forum for those who work with internship and internship-like experiences (practicum, field work, etc.) to discuss best practices, policies, and other related issues. The Roundtable will meet twice each semester and address topics such as virtual internships, risk management, and career readiness.
- Support faculty and staff who facilitate internships and internship-like experience for students
- Explore best practices to enhance student learning
- Provide space to discuss questions and issues that arise around internships
The CCDAE Executive Director and Assistant Director for Internship Development facilitate the Round Table with the support of Teaching and Learning Innovation. Faculty and staff from all colleges who work with internship and internship-like experiences are invited to attend. This includes those working with internship programs for undergraduate and graduate students. There is no formal membership, and participants are encouraged to join when they can.
Spring 2021 Roundtable: February 2nd from 3:00-4:00 p.m. on Zoom
We will kick off the Roundtable with a discussion around virtual and remote internships. As adjustments to work continue to do the ongoing pandemic, what practices and policies should be in place to ensure that a virtual or remote experience can be as meaningful as an in-person one? Share your experiences and questions about this topic.
