Erin Bennett is a Career Counselor who primarily works with exploratory freshman and sophomore students who are choosing their majors and careers in individual and group settings. She teaches an Exploring Majors Career class and a First Year Studies course and serves as the office liaison to the Compass Exploratory Housing Community. She is a member of the Chancellor’s Commission of LGBT People and serves on the Student Life Professional Development Committee.
Erin is a member of the National Career Development Association and is currently President-Elect to the Tennessee Career Development Association. In addition, she is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and gained her Ed.S/M.S Degree in Counseling and Human Services with a focus in Career Counseling from Florida State University. There she also received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications/Public Relations.
Erin is passionate about her role in helping young college students develop and learn how to reach their career goals. She enjoys reading, cooking, hiking and running triathlons. She also enjoys attending theatrical musicals and everything about living in Knoxville and being a Volunteer!
