Biography

Nolan Wildfire is an Academic and Career Exploration (ACE) Coach who works with exploratory and transition first-year and sophomore scholars who are choosing their majors and careers.  He is passionate about educating others, particularly in the form of experiential learning and facilitating programs for small groups.  He also enjoys teaching in the classroom and teaches First Year Studies and Exploring Majors and Careers. 

Prior to assuming this role, Nolan worked for REI’s corporate office helping stores nationwide execute experiential learning programs.  Prior to his time in the corporate world, Nolan worked for the University of Tennessee Outdoor Pursuits (UTOP) department where he took students, faculty and staff on outdoor adventures around the country.  He also worked for University Housing as an Assistant Hall Director, which spring boarded his passion for working with young people.  He is a former high school and middle school teacher and is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
